Matt Lacey   Director
Lacey has served as the PRC Director since 2008, and has been involved with rowing as either an athlete, coach, or administrator for the last 25 years. Prior to his time at Pocock, Lacey was the Director for the Everett Rowing Association, and has coached for the Lakeside School, Green Lake Crew, and the Everett Rowing Association. He holds a BA in History from UW and a Masters in Public Administration from Seattle University.

  Nat Hopper   Office Manager/Varsity Men's Coach
Hopper, a graduate of Gonzaga, is new to the Center as of 2010. Hopper has coached at the Collegiate, Junior, and Club level for the last 8 years and is in charge of day to day routines of the PRC office. Mr. Hopper is also the coach for our Jr. Boys team, coming to the PRC after a long and successful coaching career at the Green Lake Crew.

Steve Dani   Varsity Girls
A coach of the Varsity girls team and High Performance team, Steve also offers private coaching. A graduate of Boston College, Coach Dani has coached the PRC Women to a number of medals at the National Championships, coaching the Women's 8+ to a championship in 2006. Most recently Steve has worked for the US National Team, coaching the 2009 Lightweight Women's 4x- to a bronze medal at the World Championships, and is currently coaching the 2011 Lightweight Women's 4x-. Briana Schulte

Junior Varsity Girls
Briana will be the Asst. High Performance Coach, as well as Dani's Assistant working with the Jr. Girls. Schulte is no stranger to the Pocock Rowing Center. As a PRC High Perfomrance athlete, Briana medalled multiple times at US Nationals. As a coach, Schulte spent three years at Purdue University as a graduate assistant coach responsible primarily for the recruitment and training of that club program's novice squad. During her time with the Boilermakers Schulte led boats to victories at the 2006 and 2007 Dad Vail Regattas here in Philadelphia, as well as at three straight Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships. Immediately prior to her arrival at PRC Briana worked with the University of Pennsylvania Women's team where she was primarily responsible for the program's 4+'s.

  Damion Winship   Junior Varsity Boys
Winship started rowing in 2000 with the Oregon Association of Rowers. During his studies at the University of Oregon, Winship began coaching at Oregon Association of Rowers. In 2008 & 2009 he worked with the novices, moving up to coach the varsity women in 2010 & 2011. In 2011 assumed duties as Head Coach for the OAR program, and coached the women's 4+ to a 9th place finish at the National Chapmionships.

Novice Girls
Ali Browning began her rowing career in California, rowing with the California Yacht Club and the Long Beach team. She was recruited to the University of Washington, where she was a four year varsity athlete. Ali has competed at the CanAmMex Games in 2005, and was invited to the U23 National Team Camp in 2009. Ali was previously the PRC Asst. Varsity Women's coach in 2011.

Kit Culbert comes to PRC after 4 years as a Jr. athlete in the NW and 4 years at the University of Washington. His involvement after graduation has included training at the elite level and coaching at the collegiate level.

Ashley Jones

Junior Varsity Girls
Jones is a recent graduate (and former Captain) of the University of Michigan, where she was a 4 year Varsity athlete. Prior to her collegiate rowing career, Ashley was a National Champion junior rower for the Oakland Strokes. Jones was an assistant novice coach with the Jr. team in 2010/11.

  Pat Sullivan   Junior Varsity Boys
Pat Sullivan began coaching at the PRC in the Summer of 2011, working with the Varsity Junior boys and the PRC collegiate summer program. He will be working with the junior boys as often as his busy schedule allows this upcoming year. Prior to his arrival at the PRC, Pat spent several years training as an elite athlete, racing at the U23 World Championships and the Henley Royal Regatta.

Karen has been a tremendous asset for the Pocock Rowing Center over the past few years. Her enthusiasm has created a bridge between learning to row and making rowing part of a daily routine for many PRC members. Get out on the water with Karen and find yourself addicted to the sport!

Karen has been training at the Center as a master for years, and has been heavily influenced by her time spent with Emil Kossev as an athlete.

Margaret Christopher

Margaret Christopher   Private Lessons
Margaret has been rowing since her freshman year in college when she thought she was joining the soccer team but they put everyone in boats instead.

She rowed varsity for four years and started again as a masters rower in Seattle, for a grand total of 23 years of rowing, 12 years of coaching and two years as a referee.

She has coached both sweep and sculling at clubs all over the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, as well as at the Craftsbury Center in Vermont.
