The Pocock Rowing Center offers Adult Rowing programs and classes in the legacy of George and Stanley Pocock, who believed in the intrinsic benefits of the lifelong sport of rowing.



Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 5:30 - 7:00 AM

Our novice team focuses on building upon the basics learned during Adult Beginning Rowing courses with an emphasis on rowing technique, water navigation, equipment care while also increasing the volume of training. The novice team may also utilize our indoor training facility for practices.


Monday, Wednesday: 6:00 - 7:30 AM and Sunday 7:00 - 8:30 AM

Tuesday,Thursday: 5:00 - 6:30AM and Sunday: 7:00 -8:30 AM

The Masters Sculling Team is a mix of competitive adult men and women. Experienced racers, this group competes locally, regionally and nationally.  They practice in two groups during the week, but together on the weekend. Approval required to join MST.


The Pocock Rowing Center offers a full range of sculling classes (max 8 athletes) to meet the needs of scullers of all ages and abilities.  Sculling 201 is a good fit for someone who has completed an Adult Beginning Rowing session and wants to continue on focusing on sculling. 201 rows beginner singles with the goal of advancing to racing singles and doubles. 301 and 301.5 are for experienced scullers and primarily practice in racing singles.


If you are unable to attend one of our regularly scheduled classes, or have specific instructional needs, we suggest a private lesson with one of our excellent coaches.   Contact our office to make arrangements. 


The Pocock Rowing Center hosts a team of First Responders.  This team of mainly firefighters from Seattle trains throughout the year and competes at various events, including Opening Day. Members of the Pocock Rowing Center receive a discount on First Responder team fees.

Adult beginning rowing classes introduce adults to the dynamic sport of rowing.  A lifelong sport, rowing can be a key component to a healthy lifestyle.  The Pocock Rowing Center offers rowing and sculling classes for competition or recreation.  Classes are offered in multiple slots based on the season.  


Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 6:30 -8:00 PM and Saturday: 8:00 - 9:30 AM

Not into early mornings? Neither are we. The Mixed Masters Team is a coed crew of all ages who sweep and scull at 6:30p on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and 8a on Saturdays. MMT competes locally and meets for socials frequently.


Monday - Friday: 5:00 - 7:00 AM

The Pocock Rowing Center fields a competitive masters team for Men and Women. These teams are made up of experienced adult athletes ranging form 20s-60s. The Comp Team sweeps and sculls.They compete locally, regionally, and nationally, often placing among the top finishers.​ Approval required to join the Comp Team.


Membership at the Pocock Rowing Center offers you the opportunity for independent rowing in club singles, doubles and pairs as your schedule allows and access to our indoor training facility.  


The Pocock Rowing Center offers boat storage for singles and doubles to our members for an annual cost.  Members have access to the facility 24 hours / day to use their equipment or the Zesbaugh Fitness Center.    Please submit a request for Private Boat Storage.  We will be in touch when space becomes available.
