POCOCK ROWING CENTER EVENTS

Our culture, together

Annual, Mid-July

Every year, in early July, the entire community of the Pocock Rowing Center gathers to celebrate the legacy of George and Stanley Pocock.  We race a ham'n'egger and share a meal.   Athletes from 12 - 82 are represented in this tradition that affirms the idea of rowing as a lifelong sport, and that we are all stewards of 1PRC.

Annual, September

To kick off the fall racing season, our teams come together for a "friendly" head race and a buffet.  Building a sense of team through competition, the Head of the Pocock brings out the best in our boathouse.

Annual, Mid-November

Each November, our community comes together to support the Pocock Rowing Center.  We fundraise to support initiatives and improve our infrastructure.

Nearly all of our rowing equipment has been possible by strong support at the 1PRC Auction.  A significant portion of the cost of our fabulous dock was raised at the 2016 event.  The 2017 Auction raised funds for 3 eights, dedicated at Pocock Day, 2018.
