SAFETY
Safety on the water and in the boathouse is our priority. The Board and Staff of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation and Pocock Rowing Club have enacted a number of policies and procedures to help keep our youth and adult members safe. These policies cover many areas of safety, however all employees and users of the Pocock Rowing Center are expected to use Common Sense in applying safety procedures and policies to situations that are not covered.

Working with the United States Olympic Committee, the SafeSport program is required by USRowing. The program is based on education and training for coaches, as well as reporting and enforcement policies that include criminal background checks of all Pocock Rowing Center staff. Learn more.
